Third Time’s the Charm as Cubs Win

It took three tries this weekend, but the Cubs snapped another infamous streak Sunday night. They won a World Series game at Wrigley Field for the first time since 1945.

Kris Bryant hit a solo home run and the Cubs pushed two other runs across in a three-run fourth, then fought off several Indians threats to win Game 5 3-2 and cut Cleveland’s lead in the series to the same margin. Jake Arrieta will be on the mound against Josh Tomlin in Cleveland on Tuesday for game six.
