All Arrieta!

1. Arrieta dominated the Pirates yet again by scattering two hits in seven innings to remain perfect for the young season.
2. Arrieta is the first defending Cy Young winner to start the season 6-0 since Randy Johnson in 2002.
3. Arrieta is the first Cub to win his first six games since Three Finger Brown in 1908.
4. Arrieta’s 17 straight wins breaks Rick Sutcliff’s ’84-85 club record.
5. Arrieta will have gone a full calendar year without losing on the road providing that he doesn’t pitch before May 7th.

Hot hitting (who isn’t?) Matt Szczur was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring. OF Ryan Kalish was brought up from Triple-A Iowa to take his spot.
Kalish, 28, played in the Puerto Rican Winter League but didn’t have a job until contacting the Cubs and agreeing to a minor league deal in March. Kalish, whose neck ailments stunted his development as one of the top prospects for the Boston Red Sox organization seven years ago, batted .368 with a .471 on-base percentage in 20 games for Triple-A Iowa after not playing all of 2015.
