Big bat Matt

Szcur provided the highlight of the game in an eighth-inning rally when he smacked his first career grand slam. It was the third grand slam given up by the Braves in the last eight days.

Round 1, Pick No. 9: Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia
The Bears drafted Brian Urlacher with the 9th pick in 2000, here’s hoping that this versatile talent will take to both Bears football and Bears weather. Floyd has only lived and played in the warmth of the south. He told CSN that the coldest weather he’s ever experienced was Draft Day in Chicago.
Round 2, Pick No. 56:Cody Whitehair, G, Kansas State
Whitehair is what we’ll all have if this future starter on the left side of the offensive line doesn’t protect Jay.
Round 3, Pick No. 72:Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida
Along with Floyd, Bullard should improve the Bears pass rush on a certain #12 quarterback from the land of cheese.
I love that the Bears moved down in the Second Round not once but twice to pocket three new Fourth Round picks. Fingers crossed that they use one of our three Fourth Round picks Saturday on Stanford QB Kevin Hogan.
