    CAREER DAY – David Ross joined the Century Club by slugging a 3-run shot in the fourth inning Friday for his 100th career home run. Grandpa Rossy is now tied for 838th on the MLB all time home run list and at 39 years-old becomes the oldest Cub to hit a home run since 41 year-old Gary Gaetti in 1999

    1. Both Kris Bryant and Jorge Soler hit solo bombs.
    2. Ben Zobrist had a double and a single and has reached base safely in 32 consecutive starts.
    3. John Lester scattered 6 hits over 6 innings for 1 earned run.
    4. Anthony Rizzo did not start for the first time this year, but made a late defensive appearance.
    5. Despite two sloppy errors and two wet rain delays the Cubs made it look relatively easy.
