The Cubs’ TV rating average for the 2016 regular season was 4.50 on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, that’s more than 156,000 local TV households watching per game. The Cubs averaged more TV viewers per game on CSN for a season than both the Bulls (3.02 average) and Blackhawks (3.96 average). The Cubs’ average was actually significantly higher than the ratings of the Bulls and White Sox combined. The White Sox games on CSN Chicago were averaging a 0.92 local TV rating, or less than 32,000 TV households per game. The second straight year that the Sox have come up short of averaging a full ratings point.
