TAKE 5
1. A first inning Kris Bryant misplay in left field led to a double by Freddy Galvis, who later scored the game’s first run.
2. Ryan Howard hit a solo homer in the fourth inning.
3. Kyle Hendricks (4-5) gave up two runs and four hits, striking out six in five innings.
4. With the bases loaded and nobody out in the eighth inning the Cubs only managed to score once thanks to Philly closer Jeanmar Gomez.
5. Philly starter Jerad Eickhoff (3-8) hand-cuffed the Cubs through seven innings with 2 hits and 2 walks.
